GlobalWIN is a not-for-profit organization for women who are passionate about innovation and its potential to advance critical policy issues.
GlobalWIN provides a forum to discuss issues for women executives, and thought leaders in academia, government and business in innovation-driven fields such as technology, telecom, sciences and aerospace. These fields have often proven challenging environments for women to succeed.
Activities
1. GlobalWIN recognizes the role of women in innovation through an annual luncheon featuring leaders in academia, government or business who have made significant contributions to our field.
2. Through a series of bimonthly speaker events, GlobalWIN will bring together academic, private sector and public sector leaders to educate our members and the general public on issues associated with global innovation and to collaborate on strategies for addressing them.
3. Through active support of educational, internship, and mentoring programs, GlobalWIN will provide opportunities and support for women both entering into, and advancing within, technical innovation fields.
4. Finally, through cooperative partnerships with like-minded organizations such as Women in Leadership based in Paris, GlobalWIN will aim to foster global cooperation among women on the key issues related to innovation, technology and economic growth.
