Powering Connections. Driving Innovation. Shaping the Future.

Our Mission

GlobalWIN — the Global Women’s Innovation Network— is a bipartisan non-profit with the goal of connecting women in politics with women in innovation-driven fields.

We work primarily with three audiences in mind: women who work on Capitol Hill and the Administration, women from the international diplomatic community, and women in government relations. We work across innovation sectors, and we host about 50+ events each year, nearly all of which are made with these key audiences of women (and men) in mind. Our Honorary Co-Chairs are active members of the GlobalWIN network and include Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), Senator Maggie Hassan (D-NH), and Congresswomen Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL-25), Chrissy Houlahan (PA-06), Jen Kiggans (VA-02), and Young Kim (CA-40).

ORIGIN STORY

GlobalWIN was founded on a simple but powerful idea: meaningful relationships drive progress.

Nearly two decades ago, our co-founders Helen Milby and Melika Carroll recognized an opportunity to create something different in Washington. Both had built successful careers and networks across politics, government relations, international affairs, and innovation policy, but they saw a gap in the existing landscape. There were few spaces where women working across these sectors could gather in a way that felt truly authentic, collaborative, and relationship-driven.
